Not my cup of tea… - Hogue AR-15/M-16 Free Float Forend with Rubber Gripping Area

A couple problems right at the start. The plastic barrel nut wrench provided is garbage and unusable. The “best” alternate tool to torque the barrel nut with would be an oil filter strap wrench. No way of verifying actual torque numbers, however. The instructions don’t really mention that you need barrel nut shims for the gas tube alignment. It’s a good thing I had a few shims laying around. In the end, I didn’t like the looks or feel of this product, so I disassembled it and put it back in its packaging and threw it in the corner with my other failures….
