Surprisingly shoddy work from hogue - Hogue Beretta 92 Handgun Grip Checkered Aluminum - Brushed Gloss Black Anodized 92176

I've always heard nothing but good things about Hogue, and I've seen some of it for myself, but I'm disappointed in the work on these grips. For the price the fit was very poor, with the left grip slapping right into place (albeit off the mark a bit, which I'll elaborate on) while the right grip almost felt bent and had to be worked and wrestled onto the frame with an alarming amount of force for aluminum. Now that they are in place I'm almost afraid to remove the right side. Very unsatisfactory results.

With my factory steel mag release from Beretta in place (which previously worked great) the release seems to catch on the left side of my hogue grip which I can visibly see is not perfectly aligned with the frame where it should be. Again, this is simply unacceptable.

I will work with what I have, but buyer beware. Shipping time was the worst for anything I've ordered. My advise: just pay extra, buy from Hogue, and cuss them out if they deliver such an awful product.

On the good side of things, these grips DO feel amazing. The material is obviously much nicer than the stock grips, with a slightly more aggressive checkering and just a hint of added width. They visually match the frame quite nicely and I would suggest the glossed finish as it's exactly what I had in mind and looks 'right' on the gun.

To sum things up, it's a decent product but the fitting was awful and the savings may not be worth the wait. The material is a huge improvement.
