Best overall flashlight (2015-16) - Klarus RS20 XML2 Waterproof LED Flashlight w/ 1050 Lumens

All things considered, I can't think of a better overall flashlight for outdoor, emergency or rescue use. The 1060-lumen output is exceptionally bright, runtimes are excellent, the sidelight is innovative and provides plenty of flood. It's durable, has great throw, is waterproof and is rechargeable. I'm not fond of the proprietary battery, especially because it's rated for 300 cycles instead of 500, as other 18650 batteries. Fortunately, the RS20 will take standard 18650 batteries, though they have to be externally recharged. I love the three colors of the sidelight. Makes an exceptional emergency light.
