Junk after less than 2 years’ - Leapers UTG 3-9x40mm TF2+ Rifle Scope /w Mil-Dot Reticle

New Aug 2017. Last 4-5 months nothing but problems. Found adjustable eyepiece woobbling loose. Sent in for warranty and rep says there are dents all over scope and the don’t warranty abused items. Says it’s from overtightening rings. Having same eyepiece problem with another UTG- both scopes lasted about 2 years and around 2,000 shots each, neither hold zero. I learned about shimming between scope and rings to minimize turret adjustments. I know all about optically centering the reticle - done it to all my scopes. All this to minimize windage and elevation adjustments to reduce the risk of maxing out those adjustments. No matter- loose adjustable eyepieces have a severe negative effect on holding zero. These air guns are brutal on scopes. So, do you keep buying cheap scopes and replace them every so often? Or, spend $200-$300 on “better” scopes? Very very frustrating to be constantly putting up with missed shots. Very disappointed with Leapers not even investigating my warranty claim and examine the loose eyepiece. Lousy customer service, lousy products. I’ve mounted scopes for 40 years with no problems, all of a sudden I’m overtightening the rings.
