Bought this for my smith and wesson m&p 15 gen 1. Now I can forward mount accessories as I have much more real estate. Solid lock up, I now have an Operation Iraqi Freedom style Ar 15. Buy this if you want a better rifle than traditional cheap plastic round handguard.
