This was suggested by OpticsPlanet as a substitute for the TRT96TA. It definitely is not a substitute! It has a different kind of dovetail and will not mount to my Tanfoglio. Big waste of time and money by agreeing to accept this instead.

I bought this for an older Smith and Wesson stainless steel service pistol. It is all steel, fully adjustable, and works great!

I put this adjystable rear sight on an older S&W 645 pistol. It was a great replacement for the factory fixed rear sight. I am quite please with its performance at the range.

The LPA rear sight took 8+ days to arrive from Italy. It fits TIGHT! I should have sanded the bottom. There are no instructions. Don’t be like me and assume the LPA is going to go in as easily as the factory sight came out. I have a sight pusher and it was still a struggle. I’m always extremely careful, and I slightly marred the rear sight it was so hard to get in. My gun was a police trade in with some character already on it, so oh well. Once you have the rear sight in, your troubles are over. It’s a lot of fun after that ordeal. The notch is a bit shallow, but that didn’t stop me from shooting a couple of good groups at 25 yards. Initially, I was hitting 2 inches to the right. My 645 is capable of 2 inch, 5 shot groups at 25. Click, click, click with the handy dandy tool LPA includes, and I was right on the button. If you’ve ever had to drift adjust a dove tailed rear sight, you simply can’t appreciate how NICE it is to adjust your sights with a screwdriver.
The rear sight looks a lot better than that big old clunky factory adjustable rear sight or that stupid half moon looking fixed sight.
