I just received this magnifier and wanted to give my initial impressions. I chose the Lucid after much research on the matter. I believe it is the only 2x5 variable magnifier on the market. Magnification ring operates smoothly and with minimal effort. Glass is clear, and ocular focus function also is smooth and provides crisp sight picture. Seems to be well constructed and a solid device. Reviews I have seen elsewhere criticized field of view, but I can't criticize that point. It is a magnifier with a small objective lens. Field of view is a trade off for compact size. For a truly large field of view, you will have to use a scope. For what it is, FOV is acceptable in my opinion. I am waiting on an ADM swing off mount to pair this with a Trijicon RMR. I will post again when I have mounted the Lucid. For the money though, I think you would be hard pressed to beat this deal.
Pros: a very good magnifier for the money
Cons: none really
