JTRJR603's Review of Master's Holsters IWB w/Snap Holster

Adequate - but barely. Might be sufficient for other platforms, but for subcompact Glocks I found it to be lacking for my needs. Quality of leather is very good, stitching is excellent. However the form fitting is very tight but still felt that retention was insufficient - felt more movement for AIWB carry with the straight drop than I was comfortable with. Due to tightness of leather, was extremely difficult to draw from even after breaking in a bit. Leather is thick - reduces ability to conceal. Biggest issue was re-holstering which was nearly impossible one handed without canting muzzle towards the body as the mouth of the holster folds in despite the thick double layer of leather - no metal in between to hold shape that I can tell. Will try a more traditional IWB carry at 3 or 5 o'clock position but will be seeking a more rigid design for AWIB. Disappointed, as I was looking forward to an all leather AIWB holster for comfort. Might be a sufficient design for a single stack, or even a revolver, but not recommended for thick double stacks. A G23 in a hybrid leather/kydex IWB was much more concealable, comfortable, and secure than a G27 in this holster.

  • Quality
Cons:
  • retention could be better - but its suitable
