Getting a scope with a single eyepiece is like getting a DVD player with only one DVD. Yeah, it's great, but you really need more to make it viable.
Switching to a higher (or lower) power eyepiece is a must-have capability for any scope, as sometimes you want a wider field of view, or sometimes you want to drill into a single object or cluster.
We use the lower power eyepieces for terrestrial viewing as well, which provides a great way to watch the wildlife -- herons, ducks, chicks, etc., and then switch to the higher elements when we find something of deeper interest.
Pros: Good value for the money.
Cons: Why aren't these part of the main product?
