Love it, but not for fast changes - Mission First Tactical Battlelink Adjustable Check Piece

I absolutely love these, but I knew what I was getting into before I bought it. I have these on 3 Battlelink Utility stocks and couldn't be happier. They are not something you can slide up and down with great ease. Rather, they are designed to be solidly mounted at a height that works well for your setup to get you a good cheek weld on your optics-equipped rifle. Considering I run my rifles with optics, that's what I wanted.

Once mounted, these things stay in place. They lock up tight and solid. Yes, there is a little springy-ness in the the front end, but nothing worrisome. I love them for what they are designed to do. I am not looking to take my scope off and run with iron sights. My guns are hunting rifles and target rifles for the most part. If you are looking for a SHTF setup that you envision not having time to get out a screwdriver to adjust the cheek weld on before you need to get back to shooting baddies, this isn't your kit. That said, the piece isn't welded on. Hopefully you can find a screwdriver, or coin, or thin flat rock to loosen it and adjust on the fly if you really need to.
