I own many knives, including some top brands like Spyderco and Benchmade., PUMA..but I own 12 Mora's!! I have mainly Carbon steel but a few in Stainless. This MG model is the standard by which all others are judged. The knife has a 3/4 tang. I have never seen one break or ever heard of one breaking, period. The full tang is not needed and never has been. Many knives that have sttod the test of time do not have full tangs including K-Bars, Marbles and even Randalls...so enough of that myth. Yhe steel is the standard proprietary swedish carbon they have used d for decades as well as the Sandvick stainless...well proven, easy to sharpen on both accounts. The sheath is serviceable, good to throw in a pack, BOB, or tackle box, however, I have leather sheaths for mine that are much more comfortable for normal wear in the field. I have the Mora in all my vehicles, packs, BOBs etc...at this price, and with a coupon,, you can buy ten(10) for a C note...you cant beat it. In reality a knife is useless if you do not have it with you , and these are so affordable you can not afford(no pun) to not have one with you! The grip is great, extremely comfortable, 4in blade handles 90% of all needs and more. Buy a Mora and yo will wonder what took you so long to get one!

First off let me start out by saying, opticsplanet rocks! Great price, quick shipping. As for the knife, it's very robust and sharp enough. Not quite shaving sharp but it's a great edge for everyday use. It's comes with a plastic sheath with a belt clip/loop. Thus knife would be great for the outdoors and wouldn't feel bad using it.
