Nice small box - MTM Survivor Dry Box Water Resistant 10x7x5 Inches Forest Green S1074-11

Had some optics bucks getting ready to expire and randomly decided to use them on this box. It is a nice box for the price and size. The latches hold good, the hing is decent, and the o ring appears to be a good seal. The compass on it isn't the greatest but it points north. The signal mirror is basically a really shiny sticker on the bottom of the box. Probably not as good as an actual mirror but also probably better than no mirror at all. The lock latches are just plastic like the entire box and could just be cut off bypassing the lock. So it's not a really secure case. The case is a decent size and will hold two Gen5 G19's stacked flat on top of each other with the mags removed just fine, there is even room leftover for the mags. It will hold a G26 with the mag still in and the G17 is too large to fit. It could have many different uses ranging from a compact pistol case, ammo can, med kit, survival kit, etc. It should work fine for many different uses. I'm not into burying caches but I believe it would do just fine underground. I'd probably wrap and tape it in a thick plastic sheet before I buried it just to be safe. I'm not sure what I'll end up using mine for but I'll definitely find a use eventually.
