You definitely get what you pay for in night vision optics however, this unit is a good value for the money. The 50mm lens, although plastic, is one of the largest for the money. It makes a difference. If you you can afford bigger and better, get it, if you can't, this unit is one of the better cheaper options.
Pros: Inexpensive, 50mm optics
Cons: Gen I light gathering
