For the price, this red dot is tough to beat, and is one of the few dot sights made for dovetail rails.
It is as basic as a dot sight can be, and the price is really tough to beat for something that actually functions properly.
I intend to use it for airguns, but the off-axis parallax error at short range is significant enough that I would really want to upgrade to something better for any serious target shooting.
In particular, the Sightmark Mini Shot Pro Spec is MUCH more suitable for shooting at close range - it is the best entry-level dot sight I've found with nearly zero off-axis parallax error. "Parallax free" usually isn't.

- low price
- The dot size is fairly small - about 2MOA, which is a plus for me.
- Mounts on dovetail without adapter
- Common CR2032 battery
Cons:
- Significant parallax error when viewed off-center
- Optical quality isn't the best
- Probably can't handle much recoil
