Really nice optics for the money - Osprey 4-16x50 mm Rifle Scope with Illuminated Mil Dot Glass Reticle

I was at a gun show and saw the Osprey line of scopes. The glass looks really clear--they use Hoya glass which is the same as Nikon. When I found a special sale price at Optics Planet for about half the price at the local gun show I went for the Osprey signature scope. The optics are really great and it works on my benchrest .308 rifle fine. The only problem is the elevation turret is broken right out of the box. The base with the zero mark is supposed to be fixed so that when you pull up on the turret and adjust you can reference the zero. The base isn't fixed and just spins when I turn the turret. The windage turret works fine. It's disappointing to get a brand new scope and have it broken. I hate returning items and dealing with customer service so I'll just keep it. Probably won't buy another Opsrey signature scope though.
