Wasn't sure but now I am
I've had the EarShield S-31 for about two months now and I love them.
They work as advertised as long as you put them on correctly if you don't then they don't work well at all (learned that the hard way).
I have used them inside shooting along with other people using anywhere from a 22 rifle to a 357-mag pistol with no issues.
I personally use a 9mm pistol most of the time and would recommend them to everyone.
I own active units as well and still use them occasionally but most of the time I use the S-31.
I personally haven't had a problem with them becoming uncomfortable over time but I haven't used them yet in the summer outdoors so we will see.
They work as advertised as long as you put them on correctly if you don't then they don't work well at all (learned that the hard way).

absolutely terrible
While I didnt buy these from OP, I just used these at a range because I didnt have my Peltors. They were incredibly uncomfortable to the point of causing pain after less than an hour, and they did NOTHING to reduce noise levels. They didnt seal well and shots would very often overpower them and now ive got to deal with my ears ringing even worse than normal. I only wish i could return them

Better than E-muffs for less $ and no Batteries
Most likely better noise cancelation than $100 or more electronic ear muffs. Stereo sound. Easy to hear range commands and you can hold a conversation at normal volume. Oh yeah no batteries. No electronics to fail. More than highly recommended. You will not make a fashion statement, but who cares?

More head room
I decided to try these hoping my safety glasses would stay in place when using my Kel Tec 2000 at the indoor range. Once received I tried them out at home with rest of the gear. Plenty of room. My glasses weren't being pushed up when using the Kel Tec. Worked as stated at the range. My hearing was well protected. Do read the instructions for ear placement. Important for them to function correctly. Comfortable in ears. Easy head adjustment for good fit.

Otis Earshield
I love this product. My bulky 'ear muff' style hearing protector does a great job but gets in the way of shooting my scoped rifle. I can rotate the Otis Earshield to where it is out of the way for a better cheek weld and more comfortable shooting. I have bought from Optics Planet over the last 4 years and get quick delivery. I keep coming back.

Otis Teck Earshield
This is OK. It is not very comfortable and does not reduce noise as much as electronic earmuffs. That being said, there are times that this would have a place and I did wear it at an indoor range last week and it did work (just not as well as electronic muffs). It is less cumbersome than earmuffs.

Excellent Product
I bought these because I'm not a fan of the heavy duty ear protection, that although do their job, but can become pestering to my neck. The earshield by Otis Technology is extremely similar to headphones that you listen to music with. Although the "one size fits all" is a bit large, as far as the size of the foam going into your ear, after using four or five times the foam starts to become more user friendly and shapens faster.

Still loud on shooting range
I buy this Otis Technology Earshield is because of the simple design and not too bulky,
But I find it not quite fit in my ear hole, its kind too big, so , its not covered well my ear
I dont know is my ear shape is different with other or the design is not quite perfect to cover all kind of ear shape.

Otis Tech 31db Earshield Hearing Protection
This is an excellent product with very good shotgun report ear protection; this product also allows you to hear all the range commands. This product is as advertised and allows the shooter to keep his head down on the stock w/o any interference unlike standard era muffs which hit the stock causing you to raise your head resulting in a miss.
I highly recommend this well designed product.

not sure yet
I took the earshield to the range along with my usual beretta headpiece and rotated them around while shooting.
I'm unsure, but think my regular beretta's maybe did a slightly better job.
will give them another try soon.
