Noise reduction is adequate for casual shotgun work, but not for anything louder. Background conversation comes through very clearly. The electronics package is just a bit too big for the plastic cup, and bulges out enough to put pressure on your ears. Thicker ear surrounds would be nice. Only the right cup has padding to prevent stock scratches. Left handers can flip the headset around, but then the microphones are pointed toward the rear with some reduction in audibility of conversation. There are better options available for less money - Peltor for example.
Pros: Adequate noise reduction, but just barely.
Cons: Pressure on ears due to thin padding.
