Serengeti used to be my favorite - Serengeti Pisa Sunglasses Sport Classics

BeachChris's Review of Serengeti Pisa Sunglasses Sport Classics
I currently own the Pisa glasses. I’ve had them for a little over a year now. I was originally looking for an older style that I liked but they are not made anymore. Serengeti decided to go with the “light” frame to replace the style I had. Let me say that I love the lenses in Serengeti glasses. I’ve owned only three pairs of sunglasses over the last 20 years and they have all been Serengeti. I loved them! So much so that I never lost a pair. Just tried to upgrade. I was hopeful for the light frames. In reality I can honestly say that I HATE these glasses. The only pair of Serengeti that I haven’t liked. The light frames will slide down your nose and face all day long when outside and sweating. That is a really bad characteristic of “sport” glasses. Not to mention that if you have these glasses sitting on top of your head and bend over they will fall right off of your head. It actually gives me a headache when I wear them because my face is tensing up all of the time just to try and keep them from sliding down my face. It’s terrible. They were expensive enough that I don’t want to just trash them. It’s been over a year so I can’t return them. I’m left to throw them around when I take them off in hopes of breaking them to justify buying another pair of sunglasses. It has been very disappointing to say the least. If you spend a lot of time outside and sweat even a little then these glasses are not for you. The lenses are fantastic as I expect from Serengeti from my last 20 years of ownership but these new “light” frames are just an effort to cut cost and makes the glasses feel flimsy and cheap. So much so that they will fall right off of your head every single time you bend over. Even if you’re in the grocery store or inside they will fall off the top of your head when bending over. Save your money on these. I would try to find a pair with thicker frames like they used to have. Unfortunately I am stuck with these until I can justify another purchase. I didn’t want to have to shop other brands but it seems I have no choice with this new design. Too cheap feeling for me and the only benefit is to the company to save cost. It is truly a shame. I can’t express my disappointment enough
Pros:
Lenses are always good with Serengeti
Cons:
Cheaply made light frames falls off your face and head ALL DAY LONG
Would Recommend:
