Dull beyond belief - Steel Will Fervor Dagger Blade Knife

My dagger came in a nice box with a certificate that stated: "This knife has been passing quality control". OK, how come that there is no usable edge on this knife? By "no edge" I mean you can't cut anything with it! Forget about cutting paper... maybe (soft) butter.

I mean there is no way I can use a sharpening stone/system to get this fixed - it requires careful grinding! For an expensive knife I think this is unacceptable. The description of the knife does not state that it has no edge.

I tried sharpening it on my slow speed wet grinder but had to give up there. I took it to my bench grinder and worked it up to an edge very very carefully. Then used my wet grinder until the edge became usable. Finally my sharpening stones and honing and wow - 3 hours later I have a usable edge on my knife.

Further, my hands are between medium and large and for me, the grip is too short.

Could be a great knife if...

After all the work I did I am still asking myself why I did not return it in the first place.
