Most Helpful Positive Review Sweet pistol brace but comes with downsides...
Really awesome "brace" here. Installs fairly easily. The spring mechanism performs flawlessly and pushing that button and having the OTF like deployment will make you the envy of all those guys at the range rocking those SBA3s, KAK braces. This is really the only true PDW brace on the market as the ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Strike Industries Viper PDW 2-Position Stabilizer Brace
I would be careful ordering this product. Looks great, but I had two separate SBR issues with this installed. The last round when the bolt locks back throws the charging handle loose. Tried two separate charging handles and uppers same result. Tech support said it happens on short barreled rifles be...

buffer weight broke not even a full magazine

by Mauro, from TX, United States Written on July 14, 2025
I purchased a Strike Industries PDW Stock from Optics Planet. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with this product, I was disappointed to find that this product did not meet my expectations, particularly given the considerable time and effort I invested in building a custom rifle with high-quality components from various manufacturers. My goal was to create a rifle that combined luxury and performance. However, when I took my completed build to the range for testing, I was dismayed to encounter a series of problems that ultimately led to a catastrophic failure. During a 30-round magazine test, the BCG jammed halfway through, causing a severe malfunction. Further inspection revealed that the Buffer Weight had broken apart, releasing internal granules and damaging the red plastic component. As someone with extensive experience with firearms, I am shocked by the severity of this product's failure, which raises serious concerns about its reliability in real-world situation
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Will brake

Solid brace

by Nniels, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on June 11, 2025
A very solid brace. A lot of it is metal so it’s got some heft to it, but that adds to the assurance that it’s not some cheap plastic. Perfect for a the PCC I’m building out. A tad pricey as well but you get what you pay for.
Pros:
  • Sturdy
  • well built
Cons:
  • price
  • A bit on the heavier side

Order #28324575 Strike Industries PDW 2 position Stabilizer brace

by James Young, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on January 24, 2025
Installed the device on my AR15 pistol (5.56/223), 7.5 inch barrel with franklin armories binary trigger, after function tested it worked well, did not apply blue Loctite, until testing on the range, Today 01/24/2025 headed to the range to test fire, no issues with ejection or feeding, ran like a champ, just a note not every device fits everyone's needs or purpose, however this met mine, makes my pistol more compact and easy to maneuver, the only issue I had was the castle nut became loose, but this was expected as they indicated to apply blue Loctite and torque, did that after I came in from the range. Again it fits my needs and application, I had no issue getting to the safety level, great addition to any AR Pistol, plus the cheek rest makes shooting better, keep in mind it is only a two position brace, fully extended or fully retracted, as mentioned earlier it was easy to install, but if you are not familiar with firearms take it to a gun-smith especially if you do not have the correct tools to remove the old buffer assembly and forget there are springs one that is sealed by the endplate that keeps the detent pin in place for the rear pen, and the buffer retainer pin, even for those that have done these type of things before order a spring kit incase you have an issue where the springs rocket across the room and end up in the phantom zone and found later in the year after house cleaning, again the assemble is easy just adhere to the instructions.
Pros:
  • easy to assemble
  • Makes the pistol even more compact
  • Works with 9mm, 5.56/223 and .300 BLK out
Cons:
  • None

Order #28324575 Strike Industries PDW 2 position Stabilizer brace

by James Young, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on January 16, 2025
Received the brace today, did the install, had no issues did a function test also no issues, the installation was easy, and went without any issues, all I needed was my armorer's tool, however did not apply any blue Loctite as recommended as I need to do a range test for operational functionality, makes the AR pistol more compact, had no issues seeing out of my optic the length of pull was perfect did not have to adjust my LPVO scope. I will do a part two of this evaluation once I return from the range, but so far it is sturdy and functions as advertised.
Pros:
  • Ease of installation
Cons:
  • None
