These Talley Rings and bases are excellent. They fit my Model 70 perfectly with the "con" noted. I've got a few Talley Rings and bases on other firearms. These do not disappoint.
Pros: Strong solid ring/base; easy to mount easy to set scope
Cons: none really but the rear bore hole on my rear ring/ base was not deep enough to allow mounting screw to engage threads on rifle receiver; had a slightly longer screw on hand so OK; needs about a 1/16" more
