CJ's Review of Timney Triggers Winchester 70 MOA Trigger
Installation was over all quite straightforward. I could have used a couple more pictures with the provided instructions, especially since the front and rear pin are different types of pins and I wasn't sure if that was the case or if I was looking in the wrong place for the rear pin. After that it was all smooth sailing. I did adjust the trigger pull to be too light, and found that the trigger would remain dead and the bolt would not coc if I had the rifle pointed anywhere more steeply than horizontal. After I increased the trigger weight a little bit more this resolved completely. After taking it to the range I'm glad that's how it worked out. The Timney is much more crisp, with a much cleaner break than the stock trigger. My groups immediately improved. I found I was anticipating the shot too much with the stock trigger as I could not get it light enough, and it had more sponginess before the break. At least that's the only way I can think of to describe it. As stated earlier, with an appropriate pull weight the trigger, bolt and sear worked perfectly and it cycled 20-30 rounds just fine. 5/5 rating no question!
