Wow, I was expecting some moderate illumination, but certainly not a one ounce police spotlight! This thing literally lights up my entire bedroom with ambient spread, while anything in its direct beam is lit with unforgiving brilliance. This little guy is flat out amazing. LED technology has progressed in leaps and bounds over the past decade. Highly recommended at pennies on the lumen.
