60% recoil reduction - VG6 Precision Epsilon 65 6.5 Creedmoor Muzzle Brake

After a lot of online research sifting through reviews and write ups I stumbled across an ultimate muzzle brake review. A lot of muzzle devices are touted as muzzle brakes or flash hiders incorrectly when they are actually the opposite. I found out in my searching the VG6 line are one of only a few that are both a flash hider and a true muzzle break. Do the research yourself. On a 20” 6.5 Grendel “automatic rifle” or AR I went from a linear comp I had as a leftover from another build to the VG6 and noticed a dramatic decrease in recoil. I can say with confidence that the felt recoil difference makes me believe the online conclusion that the VG6 gives aprox 60% recoil reduction and there are maybe 5 on the market in that bracket. It made my DMR a much smoother distance capable rifle and able to acquire follow on shots with little effort. Former Cav Scout raised and taught to shoot by a MAC-V Green Beret.

The company offers a blast cage for short barrel or enclosed booth shooting and I would recommend that if needed as the muzzle brake ports direct a lot of sound out to the sides as a result of intentionally directed blast.
