Very nice bag, good for off-body carry - Voodoo Tactical 3X Discreet Sling Bag

G's Review of Voodoo Tactical 3X Discreet Sling Bag
The fabric is quality nylon- not so heavy-duty that it screams tactical, but also not the thin synthetic stuff you see in budget bags. The shoulder strap has a pouch which would be best used for a tourniquet, but looks a little bit odd. Straps in general are generous in length, so may require the end-user to engage in strap-management or cutting them down to size. The OD green color often looks brownish under the right lighting and background, so it will blend with a wide variety of clothing and street-wear. The design lends itself well to off body carry of an SMG, or a pistol+survival items in areas where many people are walking, such as urban commutes.
As far as tactical utility goes, The biggest interior pocket is simple, containing provisions for a camelbak or other water source, and other than that is slick with few snag points for a smooth draw if you wanted to carry an SMG or PDW, and *maybe* a super-short (we're talking 5" barrel) SBR or braced pistol in a rifle caliber. The next biggest pocket features four pouches sized for AR-15 sized magazines, though owing to the narrow retention straps could probably hold SMG-style magazines well enough. The third and smallest compartment is slick, fine for miscellaneous items, or if you like, a small first aide kit. If your use requires that you quickly draw and present a weapon from the bag, I would suggest doing something to the zipper pull(s) so that you can distinguish the one you want by feel, since when the bag is closed they all are positioned next to each other and feel alike. Finally, there's a hidden compartment accessible via two small zippers closest to the wearer's back...it would not be my first choice for concealed carry due to the small and hard-to-find zippers, but I suppose it's an option if you want deeper concealment.
The design and coloration is non-tactical but a little bit unconventional, so would pair best with casual young-person clothes- think T-shirts, shorts, jeans, etc.- If your clothing is going to feature collared shirts or conservative business wear, the bag will look a little out of place and maybe draw attention.
Overall, this sling bag presents a nice compromise, having a better weapons draw but attracting more attention than a laptop bag, and being distinctively more plausible and versatile in more environments than cases that look like they're designed for musical instruments or tennis racquets. Could just as well serve as a camera bag, tourist bag, man-purse, or diaper bag.
Given the price, I consider it a hidden gem.
Pros:
Discreet
good weapons draw
Cons:
color/design won't pair with business attire
Best Used for:
Off-body Carry
Ditch Bag
Would Recommend:
Yes
