This base fits on my Marlin 336 perfect. The rings are good quality. The system comes with medium rings. I had to purchased a set of the same rings in low so I could mount a Redfield 2-7X33 scope,(the lower the better). The scope is mounted sound and secure.
Great mounting system and a great price from Optics Planet!
Pros: Fits like a dream
Cons: I wished the system came with low rings, instead of medium.

This review was written in the old system and had content requirements that are different than reviews written today.
