This rugged, all-purpose tabletop centrifuge is perfect for blood bank applications, tissue culture, molecular distillation, and other scientific applications requiring gentle, but thorough, centrifugation. The 1.0 model quickly separates urine from plasma, serum or plasma and herbs, while the 1.0R model rapidly separates tissue or plant samples for centrifugation. The 1.0R model separates urine from tissue/plant samples while the 1.0 model separates blood from other organic matter such as blood or tissue. The two-stage lid has an extra-protective gasket and an extra-protective gasket-free top. The lid has an extra-protective rubber cap and a stronger-than-normal elastic top. This reduces breakage and loss of lids during operation. The all-electrode control provides stable lid opening and closing during operation. The all-metal drive system uses a heavy-duty metal rotation: chemically inertia forces the lid to close properly; a special lid gasket provides inlet port access during use while the lid is open or when the centrifuge is in operation. Following a full run, the rotor automatically returns to the spout for the next run. This assures fugation safety. The all-electrode housing is made of glass, with a steel bead-blasted finish. Machined-cast aluminum housing is black oxidized for increased visibility. The lid has an extra-protective rubber gasket for enhanced sealing. Ordering Information: Tek-Key and lid are not included.
