The Valterra RV Hydroflush, also known as a "Hydroflush", is a non-pressure, gunk-free method to clean your black or gray waste tanks, pipes, valves and drain hoses. The Valterra RV Hydro Flush works by passing pressurized liquid through the black or grey waste pipes, then letting the liquid vapor out of the hose through a one-way valve, like the one found on new vehicles, to clean everything from the valve to the drain hose. The Valterra RV Hydro Flush can be used on a waste or holding tank with the pressurized liquid as long as it has enough volume; a flush valve will turn off the valve and the Valterra RV Hydro Flush will continue to operate. The only difference between a Flush and a normal flush is the angled valve of the Hydro Flush, which forces the pressurized liquid through the waste system one time, then flushes the waste system through to remove any remaining debris. Flushing protects the freshwater supply from possible backflow that may enter the system, putting an end to messy sewer backflows. No installation required.
