These round-bottom flasks have a wide-mouth opening, and are suitable for chemical or corrosive environments. The neoprene rubber bulb and neck finish provide a comfortable grip and allow easy filling and pouring. The shape and color of the bulb and neck finish assures easy recognition. The large white screw cap has a single ring to provide handling stability. The smaller lip around the neck keeps acids and some solvents from entering the bottle, and makes dispensing easier. The large white plastic plug is a feature unique to Carlo Erba and most other brands, which allows the bottle to be easily opened with a twist of the neck. There is a broad range of neck finish colors, including clear, yellow, blue, purple, and pink. Large ground glass or stainless steel retaining rings provide additional strength and durability. Bottles are supplied with cotton plugs attached to the neck. The stopper is not included.
