Quality construction. Drawers should be light metal instead of thick plastic. It would allow for more depth in the drawers and less weight. Very heavy empty but very durable as well. Tough to keep it under 100 lb airline limit. The less than efficien...

The Pelican 0450 Mobile Tool Chest is a mobile tool chest that houses tools. Rapid deployment to harsh environments is common, and arriving with your tools intact and fully functional is mission critical. Over a two year period of intensive design, research and testing, Pelican has built the world's toughest mobile tool chest for use by the U.S. Armed Services. Over 70 tests were required, including water submersion, extreme temperature tests and drop tests from five feet fully loaded. The 0450 passed all of them. The 0450 Mobile Tool Chest is now ready for civilian use.image

The Pelican 0450 ToolChest is constructed of light weight structural resin with a polymer sponge o-ring seal and exclusive purge valve. Pelican Protector Dry Boxes also feature heavy duty buttress hinges, auto pressure EQ valves, hybrid double throw butterfly latches and two way handles.
