96 well cell culture inserts are designed to provide an adequate environment for the cultivation of mid to late metastatic cancer cells in vitro. The 96-well insert is made of high-quality polystyrene plastic and is color-coded for easy orientation and measurement. The wells are tissue culture treated to provide a surface that is optimum for the particular cell type and multi-drug resistance. Provides excellent recovery of viable cells and recovery of cell senescence. A unique polystyrene spacer protects the bottom and sides of the insert from contamination by dried blood and prevents breaching. Metal pipettors help speed up the dilution rate. They also serve as a lid for the wells and, together with a polystyrene spacer, allow the introduction of media through the well and rapid, easy draining of medium. Ordering Information: Each volume of media is provided with a ground-glass stirring bar. The system generates only small amounts of foam, which helps prevent the separation of cells. However, only a few drops of media will be filtered into each well.
