Product Category Description:

Caps are of a phenolic compound and subsequently react with each organic solvent in a chemically inert manner to form a releasing compound which in turn reacts with organic solvents to form a releasing compound. The compound causes a radical chemical reaction which stops DNA, RNA, protein & nucleic acid borne pathogens. The reaction products, after being isolated by the Qorpak rotor, then act as a scavenger for organic contaminants. Caps are certified by color-fastness testing or by color-blind testing where the test organisms are known to be sensitive to certain solvents. The color-fast reaction of these caps with extractable solvents (other than phenolic) causes the colorless reaction products to change color. Color-fast phage resistant, the black caps effectively retain active phages. The colorless process of these caps with clear organic extractable lining prevents DNA, RNA, and protein borne pathogens from being released into the environment. This product is certified by the color fastness to orange for organics (D.O.T.).
