Best Lite Tactical Pants on The Market

by Leukevent, from United States, FL Written on December 12, 2014
I've always liked cargo pants for their utility ------ the ability to take what you need with you.

Tactical pants in general and Blackhawk, in particular are the new iteration / evolution in practicability, comfort, style and durability!

I can't say enough about them other than that I have 4 pairs of their slacks, 4 of their shorts and wear them everywhere and for all occasions....

Blackhawk expected more

by USMC VET, from United States, CO Written on November 2, 2014
Been consistently wearing these for about 5 month's. These pants were not worth the money. No buttons it's all zippers and Velcro which is NOT TACTICAL. The color is not OD Green but more of a Sage. The silicon in the waistline to hold your shirt tucked is a good idea however the silicon is almost completely gone. The stitching is only single and double stitch which is a concern because the crotch tore out, triple stitching is the best way to prevent such things. The elastic mag holders in the cargo pocket is a good idea however the elastic doesn't last forever fabric would have been a better choice. The cargo pockets could be bellowed out a bit more for room. The overall design is good lots of pockets all of which are useful. Blackhawk is fairly new to making pants and for that reason they didn't fail at producing them. For that kind of money you can buy better designed and more durable pants from competitors. CURRENTLY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. HOWEVER THEY STAND TO IMPROVE SO DONT DISMISS THEM ALTOGETHER....
Pros:
  • Comfortable
  • Good fabric
  • Lots of useful pockets
  • Gusseted crotch
  • Reinforced Knee area
Cons:
  • NO BUTTONS
  • NO TRIPLE STITCHING
  • COLOR NOT OD GRN
  • NOT VERY DURABLE

Great pants, exactly as described...

by jakfrost, from United States, NY Written on October 30, 2014
Very happy with the fit and finish on these units. They are extremely suitable for the purpose described. From range work to hunting these are the most practical LIGHT weight pants I now own. In fact I wear them around the ranch most days when the temperature is above 45f.
The sizing is good, I usually wear a 32-33" waist and the 34" I ordered are perfect with enough room to tuck in a flannel shirt.
I would recommend them, and I will buy another pair.

I'd say one of Blackhawk's finest products. I own several pairs already and have nothing negative to say about them. Many pockets and excellent quality. Very durable. Would definitely recommend and will be buying more!...

Not sewn well

by Donald Jacobs, from United States, VA Written on August 7, 2014
I loved the pants for about 4 weeks, then I notice around the zipper area that threads started to show. within that day, a 6 inch rip toward the crotch. Not a pretty site. Contacted customer support who said not there problem and would not be covered by warranty, even sent them a copy of the receipt when purchased. It was clear that the material was not sewn correctly and for a pair of 70 dollars pants they should hold together for more then a month. Would not recommend. pictures available....

Great pants

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on April 22, 2014
The sizes are basically the same as your normal pant sizes. I usually wear a 32 or 34 waist in most jeans, so I went with 34 on these. Waist is snug (probably because of the elastic band) not uncomfortable or pinching at all. Length is literally the same as your actual measured inseam. Mine is 32 bang on. I went 32 long but should of went 34, the exact measurement (32) rides up a little when I sit, etc. awesome work // hunting//camping pants!

BlackHawk Takes Top Honors

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AZ Written on March 3, 2014
Have you had a difficult time on which pair of Tactical Pants you should buy from Optics Planet? Well, I have done my research and tried on every tactical pant; and Blackhawk clearly wins. Do you guys and gals appreciate how much work goes into a ripstop tactical pant? There are stitches that about 1/4" apart throughout the entire pant. Thus the name ripstop. If you get hung up and something and the shirt tears, all those stitches help preserve the shirt. I have tried every lightweight pant available through OpticsPlanet. The ones from Blackhawk is the clear winner for a number of reasons. On each side you have slanted pockets. On the back rear right pocket, their is a pocket in a pocket, but it also closed with a zipper. The perfect place for your wallet and you never have to worry about losing it. On each leg you have a small flapped pocket.. Perfect for your cell phone or any small items you may take along. The large flap pockets have ample room to expand as you place your gear within it. Their is also a vertical zippered pocket just above the flap pocket. Did I mention most of the pockets use velcro to keep them closed, except those that have zippers. The pockets even have elastic dividers for your pistol magazines. The larger pockets can carry magazines for your AR15.

Now we get into comfort. These pants are the most comfortable of any tactical pant. The gusseted crotch does wonders in keeping the pants comfortable, even when you bend done. The hidden elastic waist band...

nice pants

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CO Written on August 13, 2013
These are good, rugged pants, that should hold up well. They are a heavier material than what may be comfortable in hot weather, but probably ideal in colder weather. Well designed for pockets. My only objection is that they are very baggy pants.
Pros: heavy duty, good number of pockets
Cons: baggy...
