I have probably spent $1000+ in the last few years looking for the right tennis sunglasses. Part of the problem is my strong Rx (-3.5 cylinder) which limits my options. I have tried inserts, transitions lenses, glare side-shields, even contacts with regular sunglasses. Nothing felt right...until now.
The base 6 of the Lenox handled my Rx beautifully. The competivision blue color works great on the tennis court, though I wouldn't recommend it for driving. I like the fact the blue tint is not too dark, allowing me to use it at dusk or dawn. The sides are just wide enough to reduce the amount of glare from light bleeding through the side (something a high wrap frame does but I can't use those with my Rx). Also, the fit is nice and snug, largely due to the spring hinges (a nice touch). Even during intense tennis play they stay put.
Finally, they are really very nice looking sunglasses. The only negative is the case--too cumbersome. But I didn't buy them for the case. They are a little pricey, but I think the price is reflected in the exceptional quality of the product. I only wish I had tried these years ago. Well done Bolle and thank you Optics Planet!
Pros: Quality, fit, style
Cons: cumbersome case...
