Great optic for the money. I wanted a simple 1-4 optic without adjustable turrets for my 16" ar15. Feels very solid and well made and of course it is easy to operate. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because at 1x it appears to have a slight fish bowl effect at close quarters. All in all I am very happy with this purchase.

I have read some reviews for this scope, so I bought one and put it on my Bushmaster ACR and I have been extremely please. I read an earlier review about the scope fogging, so I tested it and I could not get the scope to fog up in any environment I tried it in. In fact, my Vortex Strike Eagle fogged up and the MTAC remained clear. The glass in this scope is exceptional. The reticle is going to be either loved or hated. I love it. I sighted my rifle in and using the distance drops in the recticle, I was able to consistently hit a 4" plate at 500 yards. It works very well, but I know some will not like it and that's fine, but in my opinion, it's a solid optic and for me, it's perfect for my needs. I recommend this scope to anyone that wants a good scope for a good price and a fantastic warranty, get it, you won't be sorry. One of the best warranties out there!! You can't go wrong. The combo of the scope, the P.E.P.R. Mount, and the Burris Fastfire III for one great price is going to be nearly impossible to match anywhere!! Happy shooting!

First let me say I bought a trijicon acog and it wouldn't zero. So I returned it and got the burris mtac wow it's really clear,user freindly and awesome at distance and on1x cqb targets are a breeze with the retical on. There are a lot of great features like the turret covers and the on/off settings. The mount is awesome as well and the QD levers are adjustable for tension I e read reviews were guys sent them back cause they couldn't figure out how to adjust. Read the directions it's extremely beefy and tough. I knock my gun around a lot and it holds zero perfect this is a product you definetly buy. And the base is china made if you care but you can peel off the sticker. The scope is assembled in the phillipines. Once again a let down but that's y it's affordable.

I bought this scope for my wife's AR. She really likes the reticle and the low profile of it. She is hitting steel at 600 yards with it. The mount however is not my/her favorite. It works well enough for the $ but the QD attachments feel flimsy and it doesn't return to zero after you pull it off and put it back on. I immediately swapped it for a Larue mount.

Excellent scope for ar15. Mounted with no problems. Bore sight showed up two, three left. First shot on bull. Fine tuned to 100 yds as compensator corrected for further range. Use 62 match and it works quite well for elevation. Watch the wind!!!! Quigley Down Under doesn't work.

Fast and great service, scope and mounts are good quality and the glass is clear! The reticle is a little small and busy but everything else out weighs that. Love the eluminated reticle helps in low light.

I spent considerable time looking for a good scope for my AR15 that would be good for both close in shooting and shooting out to 100-200 yards. I selected the Burris after a lot of research and I am extremely pleased. It is an excellent scope. I read all the reviews I could and want to add that so far (shooting in daylight conditions in a semi wooded area) I have not yet turned on the scope - I found it worked well with the reticle not on.... that said when I teseted it in dmmer light the lighted reticle worked very well. I showed the scope to other accomplished shooters and they all liked the scope a lot. I also bought the Burris quick detachable mount and it works very well. I took it off and on the rifle a few times and the point of impact remained the same. I am very pleased with both purchases and the service from Optics Planet has been/was excellent in every way. Great mid level AR scope. Only improvement would be if it had an auto off function. Number of reticle illumination choices,10, is great. Off setting between each one is awesome.

Excellent value for the money, good clear glass, quick for CQB. Leveling the reticle was a bit of a challenge but that is not the MTACs fault. Illuminated reticle is daylight bright and clear, also very easy to use.

Like all my other Burris products, I am extremely happy with this scope. Optics are clear and bright. 10 settings for brightness is a little much for me, but that's easy to fix, I just keep it off!
