Good value for the cost

by coyoteking, from United States, TX Written on November 11, 2014
This is the 2nd TRS-25 I have purchased. It's light and rugged and the dot is small enough to allow shot placement. I use these on large caliber pistols for deer hunting and am preferring these for the lighter weight and balance. I put this one on a S&W 629 Classic in .44 magnum and it adjusted quickly on the range and I got it sighted in at 25 then 100 yards. Used it opening morning to take a doe with no problems.

If I could change anything it would be to make the dot a 2 inch dot instead of 3 inch dot. At the 100 yard limit I shoot at, the dot covers a little more than I like. I would also make the lowest setting on the brightness a little lower. Early or late, the lowest setting is a little too bright.

Still, for less than $100, this is a great sight for what I use it for and I really like the size and weight....
Pros:
  • Light weight, compact size, clean dot, rugged
Cons:
  • None

Look around before you buy.

by RD, from United States, WA Written on November 9, 2014
Happy with delivery of a good product. Easy to zero. Seems to hold zero OK on my take down 10/22. Easy to see red dot which is quite clear with my prescription glasses. Looks like stars without my glasses. Can not use iron sites because of my eyes / prescription glasses. Targets are clear through scope. Good product.
Found a savings of $35.00 after I ordered....

Bushnell trs-25

by Chad, from United States, TX Written on August 30, 2014
It won't hold zero. I have the other Bushnell trophy red dot and never a lick of problems. I thought I would try this on the same gun and I'm always having to adjust it. I do like the size of it compared to my other one. Maybe I got a bad one....

money well spent

by drdudes, from United States, CA Written on August 29, 2014
well built...viewing field is very clear and the dot is round and crisp at the 5 setting...just made minor adjustments out of the box...clicks are positive... it has maintained zero even after several range trips... takes the 556/223 recoil very well...great scope for the price...will definitely buy another one...

Aimpoint at discount price

by Charlie, from United States, NJ Written on August 29, 2014
Great site for the money and rivals more expensive optics. Why spend 4 or 5 hundred dollars when this sight performs just as well. Sure everyone would love to have an eotech or aim point but who has that kind of money to wipe your bottom with to get them....

Great little sight for the right price

by Winterbullet, from United States, PA Written on August 29, 2014
I put this on a WASR-10/63. Great, clear dot right out of the box with plenty of settings (just be careful not to turn it too high - this thing can get BRIGHT). You'll need a flathead screwdriver to adjust the windage and elevation, and in my experience, a little does NOT go along way, so don't be afraid to give those twisty things (the site won't let me call it a kn*b) a good half-turn. Once sighted in, this thing is right on target and gave me a massive improvement over the lousy irons the WASRs come with.

Shooting with both eyes open is great, too. At such a low price, light weight, and solid construction, you'd be nuts not to grab one.

Just make sure to get the hi-rise version if you have an AR - I mounted this as s scout optic, meaning it's out on the handguard on a higher part of the gun. On an AR flattop, it'd probably be too low....
Pros:
  • Shoot with both eyes open
  • Nice accuracy
Cons:
  • Probably too low for an AR-15
  • Accuracy fanatics might want something more precise (I was shooting an AK, remember)

Bang for the buck.

by Charlie M, from United States, NJ Written on August 15, 2014
I now own 4 of these sights. The first went on a S&W 15-22. I was so impressed I now have them on an two AR 15 and a MP5 clone. These weapons are used for three gun, steel marches and training. Good battery life and very rugged. Thumbs up....
Pros:
  • easy to use
  • battery life
  • Ruggedness
Cons:
  • None yet!

High Value Product!!! Warning if you have astigmatism, read below.

by Valueseeker, from United States, SC Written on August 13, 2014
I have had this product for well over a year and have done a lot of testing on it. I don't write many reviews but I think there are many reviews out there that are misleading on this product.

As you can tell the reviews for this product ranges from amazing to horrible. So what is it? Simply stated; it is a good product for the 'average' shooter and will serve you well. If you are taking carbine classes with Haley or you are extremely competitive shooter or even a results driven shooter, this product is not for you and will not fulfill your needs. You will need an outrageously priced EOtech or Aimpoint (I will not go into that great debate)my bank account cried a little after buying an Aimpoint. You really cannot compare this red dot to a Micro T1 as it is not a T1. Nor is it anywhere near the same price range.

The positives; it's built tough enough for the average shooter (meaning you drop your rifle occasionally or throw it in your truck half-hazardly). Mount is solid (if you use Loctite, I promise you will thank me). Low price point (the next cheapest/slightly more expensive model cannot really touch it's overall value). Super light weight. Small and compact. Very bright. Positive adjustments both with sight alignment and red dot brightness adjustment. Clear red dot at less than 50 yds (over 200yd forget! and get a magnified scope). Will hold zero on anything less than a 30-06 (don't ask me how I know, but I did all this testing for you and my own curiosity). Can mo...
