put on rifled barrel 12 ga slug gun that has destroyed a few red dots so far. i thought i;d give this one a try before i gave up. well i'm glad so far i gave it a try. so far 25 shots on sight in and trying different sabots and its held up, kept zero. not sure if it will dervive a few hundred rounds but won't know until i do it. if you are having issues with red dots getting killed on heavy recoil guns its at least giving it a try. it surprised me. may do the same for you
Cons:
- so far none. all i expect is it to hold zero.
Best Used for:
- hunting, target , home defence

had a romeo5 on my 12 rifled shotgun and the recoil pretty much killed it. only hung in there 15 shots before the white flag came out. swa a deal on the trs 1x25 and took a chance it would hold up. well 30 shots in so far and its done what its supposed to do , so i'm happy so far. time will tell if its tuff enough or not but so far looks like a winner.
thankyou bushnell and optics planet.

Two of our estate defense arms are modernized M1 Carbines - Choate stocks, UltiMak upper handguards, sling studs on the bottom centerline where they belong, fresh spring kits, polished feed ramps, etc. We had been running the Millet RDS on QD rings on both guns, but one of them gave out, and they are no longer supported. I had a TRS in the spare optics box, so I found a QD riser that would leave the irons visible beneath the optic and mounted it. The 1" riser put the optic a bit too high, but we liked the TRS so much we ordered a second one from OP, along with two Lion Gears 3/4" QD risers. Now the two Carbines are again identically equipped, and if either of the TRS sights should happen to go Tango Uniform, they'd be simply and quickly removeable.
Unfortunately, the shipping of this order, which also included a QD cantilever mount and some "N" batteries, was frustrating to an unreasonable degree. I am accustomed to OP orders being shipped and arriving in a timely manner, but this time around the order got split into three separate packages, and the TRS arrived weeks in advance of its riser, leaving us with one Carbine that was not mission-ready. Right now, I have items totaling over $200 in my cart, but I have to debate whether to complete the order or shop up the items elsewhere.
Best Used for:
- Carbines, shotguns, anywhere an RDS is useful.

This is a decent sub $100 (actually, sub $80!) optic, perfect for pistol caliber carbines

Absolutely luv the Bushnell TRS-25 Red Dot!! It’s small lightweight easy to mount, easy to zero…. I’ve run hundreds of 12 gauge 3” rounds through it and it’s held through several trips in the trunk to and from the Midwest to the Atlantic Coast… and I throw it on my back and walk hundreds of acres with it through the Midwest scrub and West Virginia woods… The crisp red dot is plenty bright for me at the lowest setting for almost everything but in full mid day sun I to turn it up to 4 of 11…the CR2032 batteries last forever!!! I’ve only used two batteries and the first lasted over a year until I left it on but when I picked it up a week later it was still working!!! Could have run it on 5 of 11 but with the battery only costing one dollar I just replaced it… this is my first tube like red dot and I love it! I use an ADE Holgraphic red dot on a pistol but they are not nearly as sturdy as these.
Pros:
- Low cost, lightweight, robust, sturdy, crisp and clear, plenty of contrast, holds zero, battery life, ease of use
Best Used for:
- Mounted straight to the rail on a ATAC semi-auto 12guage

Always liked Bushnell for .22 rifle. Have a bl-22 to put my red dot on. Not conventional for lever gun but looks like it was made for it. Had a 2 1/2x9. 3/4” tube Bushnell 22 scope back before dirt. Loved it. It’s long gone so got another bl-22 and got Bushnell on it again. Sets down low. Like that. It works great with auto shut off. Bonus! Go waste some lead now…..
Pros:
- Dust cover for lens protection
- low orofile and price. Works oerfect.
Cons:
- none i could find for what i needed it for
Best Used for:
- my lever action Browning BL-22

Sight received and could not center red dot . It was received in used condition, battery installed with protective sticker removed. Installed fresh battery and red dot was unable to be centered, totally out of field of view. Returning item.

I really Like this small/Compact Light weight RedDot sight. This makes for a really well balanced gun, that is Not Top heavy, like it would be with a scope. I have a few of the TRS-25, on different guns, Airguns and Powder Burners. I have one on a Benjamin Fortitude Gen2, using an Adaptor # MNT-DT2PW01 DOVETAIL TO PICATINNY RAIL ADAPTOR. This make for a Lightweight setup I Loctighted all hardware so they dont vibrate loose over time. I Like the frosted front lense that gets rid of glare.
Pros:
- durable
- light weight
- compact
- high battery life

Very small for a tube type red dot. Mounts easily and is easy to sight in. Plenty of adjustment for windage, elevation, and brightness.Hard to beat for the price. I have this sight on a Ruger Blackhawk in 44 special.I needed this because I could no longer shoot it with any consistency with iron sights.

The Bushnell TR-25 is exactly what I wanted. Very small and light weight but rock solid! The dot is crisp and clear and very adjustable. I am shooting an 11-87 super mag with 3.5” turkey loads and it is holding up just fine so far which was one of my but biggest concerns.
Pros:
- durable
- light weight
- Inexpensive
- Small
- Easy to use & operate
- crisp clean dot
Best Used for:
- Target shooting
- Deer Hunting
- Turkey hunting
- Wide variety of uses
