Most Helpful Positive Review LG-661
When I considered buying this item for my new M&P40c, I could not find any reviews from someone who actually had it. I decided to get it and post a quick review for anyone else looking for one. Setup was amazingly easy. Literally from in the box to functional and on the gun in under 2 minutes. Pop the batteries in place and change it like any of the interchangable backstraps that come with the M&P. Then all you have to do is adjust it to the distance you want (came zeroed for 50 feet). It works pefectly, exactly like I expected it to. Very bright and can be seen even in most brigh...

Crimson Trace LaserGrips are a great additional sighting method

by Context Warrior, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on December 18, 2024
I have been using Crimson Trace's LaserGrips for 30 years. I attended a Master Trainer Summit by Crimson Trace almost 30 years ago. At the time, I thought lasers were "Expensive toys for big boys." What I found was a supportive aiming system that provided very low light aiming capabilities while allowing me to get hits on target quicker: whichever sighting system, iron or laser was on target, I pressed and got the hit. While target shooting doesn't need laser sights, when moving and shooting, reactive shooting to threat, and low-light situations, the dual iron sight/laser targeting simply gets faster, better hits. It also gives me a "non-lethal" option: that red dot can help a bad guy make a better decision and avoid the shooting. I highly recommend a LaserGrip on your carry and home defense handguns.

Crimson trace laser sight for Smith &Wesson mp 9c

by EJ, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on April 5, 2024
I believe that Crimson Trace is one of the best laser sight brands on the market, but the laser grips are a little different from the grips I had on the weapon. They work just fine need a chance to get used to them.

Absolutely will NOT fit the M&P .45 compact

by Lcole, from SC, United States Written on October 24, 2023
The title said it all. I spent about a half hour just trying to get it to lock onto the grip. It never would. Spare back straps that came with the gun all fit on with no problem. This sight absolutely did NOT fit.
Pros:
  • Good, bright light
Cons:
  • Doesn't actually fit.
Best Used for:
  • something else

Right on out of the box!

by Eric, from WA, United States Written on July 14, 2018
Just bought the CT laser for my S&W 9c. fast delivery and decent price for the technology involved. Easy to attach to my 9c. Done in minutes like all the reviews stated. Took it to the range to test it out and it was accurate to 50 feet as advertised right out of the box. Great product!

First Laser

by Max, from PA, United States Written on September 26, 2016
This is the first laser that I have purchased, My son has a crimson and he told me if you want problems buy one of the cheaper ones and that is what you will have. Put a couple of extra bucks into it and get a Crimson. I looked and actually ordered one for my S&W M&P9C from another site waited for about 2 months and then they cancelled my order because they didn't have them anymore, after 2 mos.?? granted they were cheaper but what a disappointment. I started to look around on the computer and found this site, ordered my model L-661 on Monday and had it in my hot little hands by Thursday. It fit perfect. It is more towards the large grip but I read a few reviews about how the grip was between Med. an Large so I installed my large grip and got use to have the larger grip and when I got the Crimson it felt perfect to me anyway. I zero it in to match my iron sites with a few small adjustments and was ready to go with in 15 or 20 mins. Called Crimson and registered the laser to get the free batteries for life that only takes a few mins.which is just a little something else to add to the Crimson laser deal. If you are looking for a laser that you don't have to buy another holster then this is the model that you want it fit perfect in my daily carry iwb. I hope this helps someone.

I have owned a number of CT products. This one, like all of their products, just works! First time, every time. It replaced the current grip quickly. I was able to get it sighted in with out firing a shot. First time on the range I was able to make every shot count. It is more accurate than I am :-)
Pros:
  • Easy adjustments
  • easy attachment
Cons:
  • None

Usual CTC great product

by craigs, from VA, United States Written on March 16, 2016
We have a total of about 8 CTC lasers. Every gun that could possibly be used defensively has one. This one is probably the easiest of all to install due to the gun's design. It replaces the back strap pieces. I would say it is somewhere between the normal and thick back straps. Due to the overall size of the pistol this is just fine for me. Installed and checked to see how it was aimed. At 20 ft it could have been used as is. At 30 ft it was about 5 inches off. Less than 1/4 turn on each screw and it is perfect. I can't say enough positive about CTC grips. Buy one!

Best Self Defense Accessory

by Happy Trigger, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on February 24, 2016
This is my second CTC grip laser. The first was on my MUP 9C, but my wife appropriated that gun. I then bought a 40C for myself. I finally upgraded it with the grip laser. I took it to the range and did some practice shots drawing from a N82tactical holster. I did have to sight it in but once I had it set correctly my draw and shoot times were reduced drastically. I was able to draw and fire on target with out having to extend the gun and find the sights.

I use mine with a N82tactical professional holster made of hard poly carbonate. Trigger guard lasers won't fit in these holsters.

I did have to modify the safety lever on my M&P by cutting the right side of the lever off. Holstering is one of the most dangerous parts of handling a handgun safely. Once it is secure I can flip the safety off.
