Purchased this for duty back up use. Used it for a couple shifts and didn't feel there was enough velcro on velcro. Put it away for awhile. Purchased the boot extender and it makes it larger, bulky and loose.

Well built, secure. Due to construction, a little larger than the pure fabric holster I had, making it a bit more noticeable.

This holster is exactly what it claims. The neoprene is very secure and comfortable to wear. The only cons that I noticed were the that the holster is fairly large for someone to wear on their ankle, but that's just the way it has to be to fit a glock 27. It's not unnecessarily big, just big enough for the weapon to fit in, but in my opinion it's not something you want to wear all day in that location. I bought the holster to wear during court appearances in shirt, tie, and slacks (agency requirement). I can't imagine a case in which I would wear a 27 on my ankle other than that (due to weight and size). Additionally, the Galco holster is the nicest one that I've seen for this weapon, but $71 for it is about the limit I think anyone should pay. Galco has always been proud of their products though. I think Galco should include the calf strap for the $71 price tag.
Yes the holster is very tight and needs to be broken in, but the weapon fits in it perfectly. I read some reviews ...

I'm very happy with the Ankle Glove and use it almost daily. This is my 2nd one after my first one disappeared. I liked it enough to buy another, and I'm amazed at how secure and comfortable it is. I wish the extension kit (for boots) wasn't so expensive though.

Bought this after reading lots of reviews online and in books. The quality is high, as expected from the high price. It is so comfortable that I forget it is there most of the time. It certainly has a well deserved reputation. Have not had the chance to try it in hot weather. Hopefully Galco's customer service will be good is something breaks. It seems that customer service is less than idea according to many; that was the main reason for my hesistation after reading all those reviews.

This is an excellent high quality ankle holster. This is the third one I have owned over the last 13 years. The first was for a Glock 27, and the last two were for Smith and Wesson J Frames. The current thumb break model will fit hammer and hammerless J Frames. This is comfortable to wear and lasts. The only reason I had to buy a second one for my 642 is because the first one was an older model that would only work with exposed hammmer models.

Very comfortable holster. Thumb break is easy to use. Only bad side is that there is only the one velcro strap. No fear of it coming off, but I am not sure how I would feel running any distance in it.
