The A8 is as large as some old cellular phones and close to the size of your typical cordless household phone or satellite phone, about double the size of the Bosch DLR165k or Hilti PD40. But the screen is relatively large and easy to read (including fractions), especially with the backlight. With so many features, a more thorough user manual with lots of illustrations and walk-thrus would be welcome. Instead, the manual stacks all the illustrations up front, and is packed with cumbersome text with the assumption the user has a general grasp of the available features. The keypad could also stand to include up/down keys to assist with cycling through & selecting menu options.
Pros: Does almost everything one might need to measure distance and angles, with lots of bells and whistles.
Cons: Large size, complex operation, not-so-great user manual....
Would recommend: Yes
