A adjustable center support on this vise would greatly improve its design. Most Helpful Negative Review It'll hold a rifle while cleaning

I screwed the "vise" to my gun bench with t-nuts and thumb screws. Thus fastened, it holds a rifle securely for scrubbing a rifle bore bore or for 'scope mounting and squaring. I have 3" wide stocks on some of my rifles and the vise does not accomodate them perfectly. Nicely made and tooled, 't...

Great value for the money

Very sturdy gun vise. Much better than I expected. It will hold my shotguns,rifles and AR with a quick adjustment. The rotating aspect makes it very useful for cleaning and maintenance. It can be permanently mounted or remain portable. I have mine portable so I can take it to my hunting camp as well as using it at home.

Wish I'd bough sooner

Why did I wait so long to finally buy rifle rest support? It's well made and does a great job for cleaning/scope mounting my rifles. You do need a roomy area to work to make it easy. I now clean my rifles more often because it's easier.

Lyman Revolution Rotating Gun Vise

Needs to be 4 to 6" longer. You have to remove the bipod from the rifle. Guns with medium length stocks are also too long for the frame. I first looked for extensions for the frame. Now I will look for suitable towel rail to lengthen the frame.
Pros: Well made although I thought there was intermediate positions.
Cons: Too short. It will also not handle guns with bipods.

Gun Vise

This vise does its job, which is the main thing. It holds your rifle (I haven't yet used it for my pistols, although it is designed for that) still and level while mounting a scope (as I did with it) and cleaning. I looked at many vises and there are plenty in this price range. Although I have no basis for comparing this vise to other manufacturers' vises, I can say this vise worked very well for me and the price was not too great to swallow.
Pros: lightweight, user friendly, does what it is supposed to do
Cons: almost pure plastic construction

Fills the bill

Although it's not a shop quality gun vise, it more than fills the bill when it comes to cleaning, mounting a scope, etc.

Can be adjusted to fit many style guns with little effort. Firearms held securely.
Package arrived in perfect condition and quickly.
Pros: Easy adjustment for different guns. Secure mounting.
