Minox is the best for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, from NM, United States Written on June 12, 2010
I just used a pair of Swarovski's and was so impressed I decided I had to upgrade to a good set of glass. So I was in the market for a good field binocular. At the stores in my town, I compared all available binoculars to Swarovski's. I had never heard of Minox but the more I researched, the more I liked them! From my ~ 2 months of research, the Minox were the closest to Swarovski's, but I paid $280!! I am extremely pleased with these binocs, they perform well in all conditions thus far and excel at low light. I should have bought these years ago!!

Excellent product

by Legacy Reviewer, from AZ, United States Written on September 27, 2008
I have viewed Steiners and Swarovskis and these are the equal of both of them. Why spend $1,500-$2,000 when you can have a quality product for 1/4 the cost? What's in a name? Very little, when it comes to the optical comparisons of these three products. I'll take value anytime over name and reputation. For my eyes and money the Minox have the nod.
Pros: Excellent optics and very lightweight
Cons: Lens covers are a bit hokie.
