Not worth buying

by Dissatified, from United States, OH Written on April 2, 2015
Purchased this scope and a 8x32 target model from Mueller Direct. The Tactical model will not zero in on my new rifle when it zeroed fine on onther rifle. Purchased a Bushnell 6500 Elite to place on the rifle I could not get the tactical scope to zero on. The Bushnell Zeroed just fine. On the target scope you cannot make out the target dot and having now confidence in their tactical model I purchased a 8x32 SIII Sightron which I absolutely love. Sent both scopes back to Mueller with a note saying how disatified I was with the scopes that I have had less than 30 days. Had to pay for shipping and I am sure they will not refund my money only give me two more scopes that I now have to sell at a loss. Both of my rifles by the way are Anschutz target 22lr's. Moral of the story buy the good stuff and leave the cheap Chinesse junk alone...

Target shooter

by Steve, from United States, IA Written on March 26, 2015
I put this scope on a savage .17 HMR . Bore sighted in back yard ,when I went to range took about 5 shots and it was on the money. Shot it in the last two matches of a 10 week shoot had been shooting 88 or 89s w/2 Xs. Shot two 95s with 5Xs with this! Love it!...
Pros:
  • Reasonably priced
Cons:
  • None.
Best Used for:
  • Target/Varmint

Can't beat this scope for the money!

by JohnB, from United States, TX Written on March 13, 2015
Purchased this scope after reading a lot of reviews on various brands and models. I am not disappointed! Mounted this scope on my custom Ruger 10/22 using Weaver Skeleton mounts (medium) and a Kidd picatinni rail. The scope is crystal clear and repeatable. Turrets are large and easy to use. Side focus for parallax works great. I did have to shim my rail in the front as I ran out of vertical adjustment at 100 yards. I have since ordered a 15 moa rail which should solve this problem....
Pros:
  • costs much less than a leupold or zeiss of the same power
Cons:
  • Nothing I can think of
Best Used for:
  • target, silhouette, varmint

New Scope for Airgun Benchrest

by Mrtippsy, from United States, MA Written on March 5, 2015
Very pleased with the construction and operation of this scope. The turrets are large and the clicks are very precise. Can't wait to shoot in my air gun bench rest match this Saturday. All the guys I shoot with own Weavers, Nightforce, Hawk and Leupold glass. I think that the Mueller is very close in quality at well over half the price of these other scopes. My brother turned me on to Mueller as he shoots 22 bench. I would recommend this scope to anybody that wants quality at a very reasonable price....

Very satisfied!

by Jones, from United States, TX Written on February 5, 2015
I mounted this scope on a Remington SPS tactical in .223 and its holding less than1/2 moa. Very nice scope for an affordable price. Only complaint I have is the marks on the turrets don't line up perfectly with the indicator mark on the scope so you could possibly be one click off. But minor with 1/8 moa at the distances I normally shoot. Overall a nice scope....

Pleasantly surprised.

by Eric, from United States, MI Written on January 21, 2015
I bought this scope expecting a 250 dollar high magnification scope. However I do think I got a better deal than that. This scope is very bright for the price range and is comparable in my opinion to the buckmaster and vx-1 line if not better. Leupold VX-3 is as high end as I go and glass quality is close but not quite there. No distortion at full power I am able to use this at night and in moonlight see well. Turrets are solid. Clear clicks. Repeatable...

One thing is the interior tube is not coated so if the eye relief isnt perfect you can see the inside of the tube glare. Minor detail and more an annoyance. One of the difference between this and the VX3 is coating and the lens creates more glare. No big deal for bench.

Very happy with this. I wasnt expecting to be to be honest. I was expecting to be let down and am glad I wasnt. Mounting on a target .22LR so hopefully this will last and be durable. For the price I am amazed at the features.

Also the reticle is fairly thick and not quite as fine for a target scope as I would have liked but will work ok for the price. I really like the old school reticle from weaver.

Look at the specs it is bulky and heavy. Almost the length of a 10/22. You dont want to be walking alot with this or the brush but for the price and correct application is great....
Pros:
  • magnification range
  • Clear
  • price/performance
  • Lots of features
  • Package contents
  • Turrets click
Cons:
  • reticle thickness
  • Tube glare
  • Lens coating
  • Imported
Best Used for:
  • benchrest
  • Target/Varmint
  • Prone

Mueller 8-32x44 Target Scope

by Jaxshooter, from United States, FL Written on December 17, 2014
Excellent scope for the money . No distortion, holds zero. Side focus close to markings but not quite on the mark. When I have time
I will shoot known distances and mark the side focus with exact yardage. Very pleased with the scope definately worth the price....

Clear, well built, elev. and wind age adj. are good, for the price is a very good buy if your starting out, or on a budget, next scope comparison would be upwards of $150 more, so very good selection for the price, limited to 40 moa adj....

Great scope, compares with all "the big guys"

by Bench rest pete, from United States, FL Written on October 31, 2014
All I do is precision target shooting, but you got to watch your money close now. This scope compares with scopes costing 3-4 times more, in optics, tracking & cross hair & dot size & design. I say get one & try it, you won't be sorry!...

Mueller Optics target scope

by arizonafc, from United States, AZ Written on October 30, 2014
A great scope for the price. Glass almost compares to my VXIII 20x. I'm very satisfied with this purchase. This sits on my Howa 204R and tracks easily. I would purchase another one to see how it tracks on a 308. Great buy!...
