NP-2DD
Extremely crisp optics.Mounted and shot accurately from the box with just two minor adjustments at 300 yds.NP-2DD reticle doesn't really display until around setting 4+ even in low light/fog. On the positive side the reticle is always crisp and small enough even at X42 not to ever get in the way of your target picture. Outstanding scope for genuine long range shooting whether benchrest or varmints and OpticsPlanet had it for a solid $500.00 less than anyone eles.
Pros: never obscures target
Cons: illumination too light at lower levels

The clarity is awesome. The windage and elevation track perfectly. This is my second one, the first has been perfect. I don’t expect anything less from this one

Crystal clear optics, super sharp reticle, perfect for the the Benchrest shooting I do with my aging eyesight and needing a bright optic for early morning and overcast days. This is my third Nightforce scope and it’s even better than the first I purchased over 25 years ago.

Exceptional
Hands down the best scope I have used. And Ive used a few that cost more than this one but for bench shooting at any distance it cant be beat in clarity, features, and build. Buy once cry once with this one. You do have to have your eye almost side to side with the glass and then the entire view opens up. Truly a marksmanship scope. Source my wife hit 200 yards steel 10 out of 10 never having shot 6.5 or anywhere past 20 yards before lol

Its for benchbrest
This is a scope for bench rest, keep that in mind. I have had mine for 5 years, A very good scope. I use it in a 308 custom 26 inch barrel that I hand load for. It Is just for my enjoyment.My reticle is NP 2DD great for Known* distances and that is bench rest. The best unclutered field of view, not for any other kind of shooting. But! If you have a laser range finder its still great! I also own Vortex HD Gen 2 and Night Force ATACR.

Excellent glass, bright and crisp throughout magnification range.
After buying a Vortex Golden Eagle and loving the 1/8 MOA adjustments, the higher magnification, and reticle, I was disappointing with the light transmission of the vortex at high magnification and noticed this Night Force for basically the same price. 18x lower max magnification but its illuminated which is a major bonus for me. Out of the box I could tell the quality was top notch, the dials have good stiff positive click adjustments, and the light transmission is great in all lighting conditions. Parallax adjustment on the objective rather than side is within reach so I don't have to get out of position and it's very smooth, not gritty like some cheaper benchrest scopes. If there is anything that I don't like or rather think could be better, it's the same thing most other reviews note. The illumination is a little to dim in bright sunlight.

- Consistent light and clarity at all magnifications

- Hardly a con but the illumination is a bit dim in bright light.

Such an Excellent Rifle Scope!
Many people think that because of the higher magnification, it will be difficult to see through the scope on such high magnification levels, this is simply not true. This scope is so very nice, it has all the power I needed for a 50BMG. I like that the adjustment turrets are covered so they won't be accidentally moved. Everything is 10/10 so far. I chose the reticle without the drop hash marks because I plan to make range adjustments with the turrets. Great price for what you get here, OpticsPlanet is the best!

Nghtforce Benchrest 12-42x56mm
The scope has great optical quality. It is as clear as the bell and tracks well. The quality is excellent, typical of Nightforce. I plan to use it on my F Class TR Rifle.
Optics Planet also makes it easy to order. The online assistance was the best I have experienced to dat.
I really like it. It is as good as my NXS.

Great product
It is a great scope very clear stable easy to use. The directions are easy to follow in the book if you have never used a scope like this before. I bought it for me but my wife has basically claimed it so I guess I will be buying another.
