Great scope, but had trouble.
So here's the deal- I have a marlin model 60sb (tube fed bull barrel .22 semi-auto). The rear sight on this rifle folds down supposedly to accommodate the bell on the forward end of a scope that comes down there when mounted on the rifle. And it does. I had an old 3-9 scope made by western field in the 60's, and I used the basic Weaver 1" .22 tip-off scope rings from wallie world and they mounted it up just fine. When I switched to the Nikon prostaff 3-9 rimfire, the bell where the scope gathers light (the end towards the muzzle) was too large to mount properly with the basic .22 tip off s...

Excellent Scope in all aspects for the money
As a senior shooter, I need more power than you younger guys even though my eyesight is very good for a 70 yo small game hunter. Optics are clear and Nikon offer conversion charts to use with a .17hmr or a .22 mag.
My is mounted on a Ruger American rifle .17hmr with an 18" barrel. Sighted easily and holds point very well. I am looking forward to rabbit hunting this fall and "who knows" maybe a short range coyote with a head shot.
I would certainly recommend this scope for rim fire rifles and certainly for us older shooters. Don't be embarrassed that you need power as you get older.
Optics Planet is so easy to work with and goes out of their way to make your purchase a great experience.

Good bang for your buck optic.
Nikon has always make a decent product. And, that tradition holds true to this one. Of the options available, I went with this one. Mainly due to the quality brand name and the lower price than some of the other options that were for sale. Overall, glad I went with it.

Great .22lr Scope
I was looking for a nice scope for my Rugar American Rimfire Rifle and based on my past good experiences with Nikon products decided to give this scope a try. I am extremely happy with my purchase. It is nice and clear and bright and the it was a breeze to sight in. Five shots, adjusted elevation, five more shots, adjusted windage, and then proceeded to shoot less than one inch groups the rest of the day. I was only able to sight it in at 50 yards and not the recommended 75 yards due to range limitations, but I dont anticipate any issues adjusting it when I get the opportunity. Same great build quality as my other Nikon Scopes/Products so I dont anticipate any issues with it holding zero or anything.

Crystal Clear
I don't know much about scopes but this appears clean and well made. Glass is clear and though I was skeptical about the hollow circles as reticles it seems to work very well. I may get the 223 version now for my AR.
Pros:
- Well Made for intended purpose
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Rimfire target applications

Great clarity for the price
This is a great scope for a target 22lr rifle. The optics are clear enough that you don't need a separate scope to see exactly where you are on the target 100 yards away. Was extremely easy to mount and sight. Really enjoy the clarity vs other brands of scope.

- Target/Varmint
