It works like a regular camera, only this one can go underwater! I was also very amazed when I put it in the water because I didn't think that it would work. Cons:  Poorly designed "ON" button

While the camera is in its waterproof casing, the "ON" button protrudes and is too easily pushed inadvertantly (such as when packed in a shore bag). If the button is held down by some object pressing against it, the batteries will soon be drained. If there are any pictures in the memory, they will also be lost. After such a bad experience I made an improptu "carrying container" out of a plactic peanut butter jar.
