The binoculars are great--they focus easily and are lightweight.
The only problem is that there are no instructions for attaching the strap! I think I figured it out, but instructions should be included. ALSO, the cover for the objective lens does not fit at all, which is annoying. I live in a rather humid region, and always cap both ends. With these, I cannot.
It is almost as though the binocs were manufactured in one country, the protective coverings in another, and the instructions in another. It would be nice if one company would oversee the overall end-product so that the buyer would get everything in one box.
Pros:
- accuracy
- weight and ease of use
Cons:
- Instructions are lacking
- covers come off too easy

I was not familiar with the name Sightron, but Sightron makes a quality budget-priced SII Blue Sky 8x32mm Roof Prism Binocular. The view is amazing for the price, including low-light situations. The weight is balanced and the size is perfect for hunting. OpticsPlanet delivered on-time and for a good price.

These binos are very clear and light. i wanted to replace my good pair of binos with something a little lighter. these are lighter and to my eyes take in more light. The binos that these are replacing is the rebel.

These are great Bino's for hunting. Light, bright, great FoV. Unquestionably a great buy for the price and I will probably buy another. Eye relief could be a bit longer when I wear glasses but that is a minor issue for me. I would personally buy 3rd party covers and a harness to take care of the product. Current accessories are pretty awkward.
My recommendation to Sightron would be to charge a tad more on the accessories so that the customer has it all. I believe a $10 or $20 increase would still make these Bino's a steal!
Great job Sightron and thank you OP for great service.

Nice binos for the money in terms of optics and build quality. Not magic; not quite equal in contrast or brightness to the superpremium brands or even to the middle tier (eg, Nikon Monarch 7, Zeiss Terra). But probably the best I've seen in its price range. I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability but they seem pretty well put together. The focus motion is just a little spongy, not equal to the Zeiss Terra but better than many in this range. The eye relief is a little overstated at 17.5mm. I can't see the full field with my eyeglasses on, even when pressing the binos hard into my face. My Bushnell claims 16mm eye relief for my 7x26 Customs yet with them I can see the full field with my eyeglasses on pretty easily. In fairness, this is common in the industry. Zeiss claims 16.8mm for the 8x32 Terra, and while they have a little more effective ER than these Sightrons they still have less than the 7x26 Customs. Some brands are even worse with their ER claims.

I'm pretty picky about optics, having pursued astronomical observing avidly for about 15 years now. Recently I've taken up birding and find it a very engaging hobby, one that doesn't require a clear dark sky for its pursuit. I generally prefer a 10x binocular, since most of my birding is done at distance, but when walking down my lane I like to have something wider for looking up into the tree canopy, and I don't want it to weigh too much. So, while I'm contemplating spending a bundle on something special in a 10x42, I also wanted a serviceable 8x32 that wouldn't break the bank.
The Sightron SII Bluesky 8x32 has lived up to its reviews. I find it to be more or less free of chromatic aberration, to which I am fairly sensitive. For example, I see quite a bit of CA in my Eagle Optics 10x42 Rangers, enough to be off-putting. I don't see any CA on axis in the Sightron, and just a bit near the edge of the field. The sweet spot extends over roughly 80% of the diameter of the field; there is some astigmatism and a small amount of distortion in the last 10%. The field appears to be a true 7.5 degrees—plenty for following birds in flight—giving the eyepieces an apparent field of 60 degrees. Eye relief is excellent for eyeglass wearers, myself included. Close focus (with my glasses on) is about 8 feet. The focuser is smooth and relatively fast, taking about 1 full turn from infinity to close focus. The focuser rotates far enough past infinity that I can use the binocula...

I joined the believers in these excellent binoculars recently and confirm the best buy value that has been set here by Sightron and the SII Blue Sky users!
Great view, sharp and contrasty, good wide field, excellent ergonomics, and a value that is hard to find in an easily packable and carryable weight and size with optics that are just a pleasure to use, with or without eyeglasses.
They may be around a long time, but if you need and want a great carryable bin that performs in the field, try these for yourself. Sometimes there are reasons that items disappear from the market without it making sense to the practical users-you deserve to know these personally before they go away.
Unless you just want to spend a lot more and get something equal (if you are lucky) or maybe technically better. But for those of us who just want something that will please us to use and get the job done, these will likely make you happy you chose these for a long time to come, and for many purposes-a good all-rounder, I believe.
Pros:
- light weight
- good optics
- Waterproof
- simple rugged design
Cons:
- focus wheel smoothness not always best
- rain guard, case and strap could be better
Best Used for:
- Excellent for many uses-hunting, hiking, birding, general

Ok saw the reviews. Had to try them. They are pretty sweet. Light, ergonomic and well built. They are my new Jeep console binoculars. They fit just right in the top portion of center console. They are very bright, great image and a snap to use. No complaints. I compared them to my existing Bushnell Trophy 8x32 and Vortex Vanquish 8x26. All three pair are worth having, but I like these the best now. The Vortex Vanquish have outstanding optical definition, yet to be out done by even some $400 dollar range binoculars. But,these Sightron SII may be their match. The Sightron are much brighter though, so the contest ends there. These are definitely a class above the Bushnell trophy. So these Sightrons blend the comfort of the Bushnell Trophy with the definition of the Vortex.
Pros:
- ergonomic
- Lightweight
- well built

What a pleasant surprise - to actually get MORE than what you pay for! I've read about these on several forums and one in particular is populated by birders who are some of the most knowledgeable optics snobs on the planet. Everyone raved about the value of these compared to their fantastic image quality. Well, they are right. These have an image of bin's costing several times as much. In fact, I can't see how you'd ask for more from a binocular that didn't cost over $1K. Only issue I have at all is a narrow FOV than I'm used to with an 8x32 binocular, but the brightness and image quality more than makes up for that. It's hard to find anything to criticize on these. They are so light, so bright and absolutely razor sharp. For comparison, they are brighter, lighter, and sharper than my Nikon Monarch 10x42's, which I've been very pleased with for quite some time now, and I felt those were a good deal at $299.
If you're even thinking about getting a pair of these, take my word for it and go ahead.
You'll be happy you did.
With my OpticsPlanet $15 discount and free shipping, it was a no-brainer.
Pros:
- light
- very bright
- razor sharp

PROA; Best optics I have ever owned. Somewhat larger in size than most 8x32 binoculars. But very light to carry.
CONS; The neck strap is confusing. It holds on the fron & rear lens covers and hard to figure out how to install. Nothing in the instructions. I don't like the way the lens covers are attached to the neck strap and hang down when looking through the binoculars. Next is the case. No belt loop.
Pros: Great Optics
Cons: Neck Strap & Case
