Nifty Product/Nifty Price

by Gunguy, from United States, TN Written on August 26, 2014
Product is solid, works well and fairly easy to zero in. Fits real nice on weaver or Picatinny rails. Controls are real accessible and works with ease. Uses a fairly readily available battery. Thinking about getting one for my other pistol....

Great Value and Quality!

by M4 Shooter, from United States, WA Written on August 14, 2014
This is by far the best LED light Laser combo that is not some junky brand. It is way cheaper and just as good if not better than Crimson Trace. Excellent for mounting on a handgun or rifle. I have 2 of these because they are so good....

Retired from work

by Ron, from United States, NJ Written on July 30, 2014
Installed on my HK 45 and was quite pleased with its ease of installation, was quite impressed with the different options on the TLR 4,
Had my neighbor over to look at it and he may purchase one himself. Like just the light and when the red laser is activated with the light
Has a different look about it. Thank you optics planet for having such a great deal...

Perfect fit and function

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, PA Written on April 7, 2014
This is exactly what I was looking for. Installed it on my Glock 19. Had it dialed in from 10 yards after 50 rounds. I've shot it 3 times since and it's helds it mark, which I was concerned about based on other reviews. Only improvement would be a smoother toggle swithch.
Pros: Easy to install, operate and dial.
Cons: On switch is somewhat stiff....

One huge flaw.

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 18, 2014
I've had two of these fail. I will first say that Streamlight is very helpful and good about replacements but there is one huge design flaw with these units. One side of the light is secured to the rail polymer/plastic and is an extension of the housing. If you bump this on anything, over-tighten it, god forbid- drop it... it WILL crack and fall off. The last thing I want to have to worry about on a self defense weapon is being careful not to bump the attached laser against anything if I ever actually needed it. And no, I did not over tighten them.
Pros: Features, easy to use.
Cons: Breaks very easily. ...

Not happy with product description

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on December 11, 2013
The light is great. Unfortunately Im disappointed with the service. Viewing the picture on the optics planet website shows the right clamp on the light to fix the TLR4 onto my specific gun. Well, the clamp on the light they sent me is TOTALLY different and does not fit. I asked to please send me the correct clamp (key) and was told that I should not use the picture provided on the website. hummmmm? So I now have to go through the process of returning the light, which I will gladly do. So when you order from Optics Planet make sure not to use the pictures provided on the website as your guide. Optics Planet just lost my business.
Pros: great light
Cons: poor description on the product...

No complaints here

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on September 6, 2013
I bought the TLR-4 for a full-sized, government style 1911. The 1911 is a SigSauer Scorpion with a rail.

The light attached easily and very securely once I figured out the correct rail key to use. I did not immediately notice there was a proper key for my application and I believe the generic 1913 key did not work and there was a 1911 specific key.
I love how the light has a small toggle switch so that I can use light, laser, or light/laser. This way you're not burning up batteries powering both when you don't need.
The ability to momentarily press the light down or hold it on is really nice as well. The switch for that is a easy to operate rocker switch that straddles the trigger guard. So far it seems a perfect reach with either hand's "trigger" finger to use the momentary-on; however, the hold-on switch is stiff at the moment and requires some force.
I did not have to align the laser once at the range. I pulled my 1911 with it attached out of the case and with a bench rest I put the first 3 shots within the 1" diameter bullseye at 10 yds. Needless to say I am impressed.
The laser was clearly visible at 10 yds at an outdoor range. The day was slightly overcast. I did not try a 25 yd shot, I wish I had.
TL/DR: Just buy it! You'll love it!
Pros: Bright, Dual-function, Various rail keys, Accurate, Momentary-on
Cons: Single color - Black, Tightening screw awkwardly sized, Hold-on position switch is stiff...
