For 219.00 this is a good value. Remember though this is a 219.00 dollar scope. The focus adjustments on the bell is very rough. Seems to track okay. Glass is respectable for a 219.00 scope. I have it on a 22 rf competition rifle and it works well for that. I would buy another for that purpose. I would not put on my main hunting rifle.

won't focus

Mounted on Savage LRPV, first thing I noticed I had to turn AO pass 300 mark to get clear view at a 100 yards, for 200 yards it was at infinity mark, at 300 yards it was all blur, adjusting eyepiece and AO didn't produce clear image. Called Customer service they refused exchange or return, I was told to contact Vortex for warranty repairs...

I don't know that you could find a better scope in this price range that will perform better than this Vortex. I have this scope sitting on top a 6.5 Creedmoor rifle and sighting in steel at 800 yards is fairly easy, especially on bright days.
Pros: Price, Clarity, Zoom, 30mm Tube
Cons: No side focus...

Vortex Crossfire 8-32x50

I bought this scope for rimfire BR shooting at primarily 50 yards. I like to compete in events that have restrictive magnifications (9x, 18x, and unlimited), so a variable power scope was preferred. I purchased a set of BKL rings/mounts for it. While the scope is large, it is a good fit for my needs. The scope feels solid. Adjustments to the bell are easy, but it seems to get harder as the distance increases above 100 yards. The turrets are long, making it easy to reach them. Wind and elevation adjustments are auditable and measurable feels just like my Sightron. At 50 yards the fine cross hairs do not obstruct the x-ring. Focusing the reticle is fast and images are very clear again just like my Sightron. Ive had a number of scopes and this Vortex is doing what Ive been looking for in a moderately priced scope. I will buy more of these scopes.
Pros: Fine cross hair, turrets, value
Cons: size...
