I’ve used Weaver products for years and mostly always satisfied. Fit well and appears to be made well. Wish the offered these n 30 MOA too. That would get my scope adjustment closer to the middle of the adjustment at my desired yardage.

Gives you all kinds of options to move your optic at an affordable price . Easy to modify as well . Cut some off the back and ground down one slot to give my scope more clearance . Then I ate a sandwich

I'm 'new' to putting my own add ons to long guns. The Extended Multislot Picatinny Base felt heavier and better made than other similar bases. Combined with my new Warne scope rings and previously owned scope, I could not be happier with the combinations. The feel is one of an overall better product. I would/will buy again and recommend to others.

It's hard to believe that for so little money you get such a good product.
I have 3 of these in 20 moa on Savage rifles (2 short action and 1 Long action) and one on a Rem700 Short action, also 20 moa.
I share the same scope on 2 of the rifles so I constantly swap the scope on and off the bases. After hundreds of scope transplants I still can't find any sign of wear on the rails. They look like brand new.

I have used Leupold and Nightforce rail for about 2 to 3 times the money. The 20 MOA for the money are more than strong enough for any recoil when used with the Weaver picatiney rings. Have used these on many calibers from 223 to 338 Laupua without fail a drop of Loctite on the 6-48 screws and they stay put.

Just bought the weaver extended rem.700 s/a rail from optic planet. Came in within a week of ordering. This rail is the best aluminum rail u can get. I'm very happy with the quality. Not many lower $ rails come with the recoil lug. This weaver does and that's a huge plus. Don't pay more for the same rail elsewhere. I only use quality products with my builds. If this wasn't a good product I would not recommend to others or use myself. Highly recommended.
Pros:
- Excellent quality and recoil lug
Best Used for:
- Mounting a scope on a Remington 700

If you are considering this scope base, you are definitely on the fast track to building an accurate rifle. For a long time there has been a debate over "One Piece" or "Two Piece" scope bases. Those in favor of two piece bases have two basic arguments: Improved access to feeding rounds into the rifles internal magazine; and, Lighter weight. For the "old school" shooters, these were valid points for many years, I certainly was a follower of that line of thinking. But gun design has come a long way and it is time to rethink old conventions. Weaver has made a high grade aluminum base with trademark Weaver style slots that allow for an added range of ring placement. Its light, and has a clearance cut to facilitate top loading your rifle with minimal obstruction. (This is more or less for those that have not seen the future and upgraded to "detachable" box magazines on their bolt guns.)
Let's be clear. Two piece scope bases limit the range of scope placement for proper eye relief. In order to avoid having an uncomfortable "spot weld" of your cheek to the stock, you need to have the option to mount your chosen scope in an appropriate position relative to your desired eye relief. A one piece base simply makes mounting a wide range of scopes possible. Likewise, having the option of moving the forward scope ring ahead of the barrel/receiver junction is becoming necessity necessary due to the use of high magnification scopes for target and tactical rifles.
Weaver has addressed these...

This rail is perfect. I wanted something to help match the length of a long scope on a new Bergara rifle, and this was it. Used with Vortex tactical rings and makes the whole thing look better. Holes matched up perfectly. The finish was good, the laser markings and cuts were clear and sharp. Very happy with my choice. Looks great and I appreciate the fact that it was marked and made in USA.

My last few rails have been either Talley or Warne, in fact I ordered a Warne 20moa rail first. When it arrived, I realized I had not ordered it in an extended length like all my others, my error. When I went back on line in search of an extended rail I noticed the Weaver. The reviews were excellent so I checked further. Made in America, 7075/T6 aluminum, mil-spec hard oat, 20moa. Everything I was looking for plus a better price why not give it a try. When it arrived (11 days later, poor shipping option Optics Planet) I compared it to my other rails and could not determine any quality difference. I did have to epoxy bed one end but I did that on previous brands. BIG PLUS, this rail has a recoil lug my Warne and Talley lack. When I need another Picatinny rail in the future, I will look for a Weaver first. Great product! Do not hesitate.
