Sightmark Ultra Shot Sight SM13005DT

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on March 8, 2013
Overall pretty satisfied.Don't like the fact that the reticles have a locking point on base. After multiple shots the reticle tends to move. Not for competition.
Pros: Price & Size Great for pistols.
Cons: Multiple reticles do not have a positive locking point....

Sightmark scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on July 21, 2012
I ordered this along with a handle mount for an AR-15. Both were exactly what I wanted. The pricing on the scope was very reasonable. I received it and the mount quicker than fast. It was sudden! I'm waiting for the heat to break before I take it to the range to try it out.
Pros: Good price

Great sight

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, VA Written on February 3, 2012
I absolutely love this sight. I have it on a S&W MP15T. Firing 5.56 military grade ammo, it has never varied since it was sighted in. Took a total of 3 rounds to zero it in. You cannot beat this sight for the price.
Pros: 4 reticle patterns, adjustable brightness, stays on sight
Cons: cover is a pain to put on...

great design poor execution

I would like to recommend this holosight but I had 2 fail. The first had the lens break and the second was electronics failure. If the quality issues were resolved I would recommend this holosight as best value for your dollar.
Pros: features, ergonomics
Cons: poor execution...

Sightmark Ultra Shot

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on June 6, 2010
If you want a cheap red dot for a small caliber rifle then this will work for you. My first problem with this sight was when I first opened the box. It was supposed to come with a Allen wrench for sighting in and one for the sight lock, but mine didn't come with the locking wrench so I had to go buy one. Second problem was that when zeroing in the adjustment screws were to smooth, so I couldn't hear or feel the click. So I had to just guess how far to turn it. Third problem is that the sight was not bright enough. In full day light I could barely see the reticule. And the forth and final problem was that THE LENS FELL OUT WHILE SHOOTING! I was shooting my .223 and the lens just fell out. Long story short is DON'T BUY THIS SIGHT.
Pros: cheap.
Cons: Pretty much everything exept price and features....

It is very easy to use, perfect faces, the grid is very clear I use to pull the fly. cost me a bit but then attaching it to the track perfect.
To see the grid either have to use 4 or 5 intensity fast shooting is assured
Pros: Visibility, easy to use
Cons: none...

Sightmark Ultra Shot Sight SM13005 Review

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NM Written on February 10, 2010
I'm very happy with this sight. I purchased it for my son's Ruger RS22. The mounting system is outstanding - the front mounting screw actually fits between the cutouts in the picatinny rail. That thing is not going anywhere. The projected red dot can be switched between 4 different shapes. We've been shooting at an indoor range so we've been using the cross rather than the dot. It takes up a lot less space on the target and is perfectly visible in the interior lighting of the range. The eye relief and field of view on the unit are awesome. Overall, the construction is sturdy, the optics are well coated, and the finish (anodized aluminum) is great too. This is a really nice sight, especially at this price. Other reviewers have noted the battery life, which does lag behind other models. The manual claims an 8 hour life. We've only had it powered on at full intensity for 4 hours, but it shows no signs of dimming yet so I believe it will reach the full 8 hours. Also, 5 packs of batteries (which are really watch batteries) are readily available on Amazon.com - see http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Lithium-Batteries-Size-CR1620/dp/B000YQA39S/ref=pd_cp_e_2) for about $6. Overall, I think this sight is well worth the price.
Pros: Mounting system, variable shape on projected dot, wide field of view, quality construction
Cons: Battery life is 8 hours...
