Sightmark Ultra Shot Sight SM13005DT

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on March 8, 2013
Overall pretty satisfied.Don't like the fact that the reticles have a locking point on base. After multiple shots the reticle tends to move. Not for competition.
Pros: Price & Size Great for pistols.
Cons: Multiple reticles do not have a positive locking point....

DO NOT BUY - Major Parallax Issue and Red Sights Are Blurry

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WI Written on January 18, 2013
DO NOT BUY!!! Major Parallax Issue. I just received this sight today and I installed it on my M&P 15 AR. The parallax issue is huge, it is not possible to get the sight to sit still. Just by moving my cheek a small amount the sight moves all over the place. Even with my cheek planted firmly against the stock you still get major parallax issues. In addition the red sights are very blurry.
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: major parallax issue & red sight are blurry: Does not work...

Works for me

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 27, 2012
Now I'm not saying it will be good for you BUT for the $$ its a good buy in my book. With that said you will have to do a modification to it if you want to use this sight or any other reflex optic for that matter ( regardless of the make ) in an outdoor setting. Within the battery compartment lays the voltage divider circuit board which limits the current supplied by the 3v battery to the 3v LED which provides the light for the rectile. The circuit board is secured in with a brass ring that has two notches. This ring is the cause for so many complaints about the optic either not working or failing after several rounds. This ring, screws on the same threads as the batterycap and must be securely tightened as it is the contact point for the common leg of the voltage divider board. When it backs off ( loosens ) it fails to make contact and the sight doesn't work. This is very easily solved by simply snugging the ring up with a small flat-head screwdriver, but be carful not to torque it too much as the ring is compressing the circuit board to the knob. A little lock tight in the thread will prevent this retaining ring from ever backing off again. The other modification has to do with the brightness of the rectal image in daylight settings. I suggest this modification ONLY be performed by an electronics prefessional. The voltage divider circuit board I mentioned earlier works by resistance. There are 5 surface mount resistors that increment up in value for every position of the i...

Sightmark scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on July 21, 2012
I ordered this along with a handle mount for an AR-15. Both were exactly what I wanted. The pricing on the scope was very reasonable. I received it and the mount quicker than fast. It was sudden! I'm waiting for the heat to break before I take it to the range to try it out.
Pros: Good price
Cons: None...

Great sight

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, VA Written on February 3, 2012
I absolutely love this sight. I have it on a S&W MP15T. Firing 5.56 military grade ammo, it has never varied since it was sighted in. Took a total of 3 rounds to zero it in. You cannot beat this sight for the price.
Pros: 4 reticle patterns, adjustable brightness, stays on sight
Cons: cover is a pain to put on...
